Question 2. Surf the Internet or videos on Kite Festivals. Watch them with your teachers and classmates. (a) Share the things with your classmates that you had watched. What were the people doing? (b) Would you also like to participate in this type of festival? Give reasons. (c) If you get a chance to fly a kite, what kind of kite would you like to fly?

Simile A simile is a figure of speech that compares two unlike things using the words “like” or “as.” Common similes include the descriptive phrases “cool as a cucumber,” “cold as ice” and “sly like a fox.” The poet uses simile to compare the kites with coloured birds and the quality of being light as qir. The poet uses like’ and ‘as’ to compare.
Alliteration A set of words that begin with the same consonant sound is called an alliteration. Underline the sets of words from these stanzas that begin with the same consonant sound. Then I would drift upon The paper wings, And hear the songs That the wild wind sings. What fun it would be To look right down, Over the park And the rooftops of town.
