The pattern of the SST Class 10 paper was slightly different till the academic year 2018-2019. Since then, the CBSE board has introduced some changes that have been incorporated into the Class 10th social science sample paper. The changes in the marking scheme and pattern are as follows.

The total number of questions was 27. The number has now been increased to 35.

Q1 to Q7 were short answer type questions carrying 1 mark each. The current pattern of the exam paper includes 20 questions carrying 1 mark each.

Two map-based questions carried 1 mark each and there used to be one map-based question of 3 marks. The current pattern has two map-based questions of 2 and 4 marks respectively.

Class 10 Social Science Answer Key 2024

The CBSE Class 10 Social Science Board Examination 2024 is successfully conducted today i.e., March 07, 2024 from 10:30 am. Students were allotted a time duration of 3 hours to complete the exam whereas an extra 15 minutes were given for reading the question paper. The CBSE Board Class 10th social science board exam 2024 was conducted in offline mode i.e., pen and paper mode. The exam was for a total of 100 marks out of which 80 marks were for the theory exam and the rest 20 marks were for the internal assessment. The CBSE Board Class 10 Social Science Question Paper 2024 followed the same paper pattern as given in the CBSE Class 10 Social Science Board Model Paper 2024.

The CBSE Class 10th SST question paper is divided into Six different Sections – A, B, C, D, E, and F, with 37 different questions. Where Section A comprises 20 MCQs of 1 mark each. Section B will consist of Very Short Answer Type Questions, carrying 2 marks each. Questions in Section C are Short Answer Type Questions, carrying 3 marks each, Section D are long answer type questions, carrying 5 marks each. Section E will comprise case-based questions with three sub-questions of 4 marks each. Section F will have map-based questions.
